Shipping and Delivery Policy
Last updated: 3 September 2026
This policy explains how we dispatch and deliver your order from The Printed Kitchen, and what to do if your parcel is delayed or does not arrive.
1. Where we deliver
We deliver within the United Kingdom.
Delivery is charged in addition to the price of the book. The total payable is confirmed before you complete your order, and there is nothing further to pay on delivery.
2. Dispatch and delivery times
Your books are printed and posted in the UK. Orders are dispatched within 1-2 days, and most orders arrive within 3 to 4 days.
Delivery timings are an estimate. Carrier schedules are outside our direct control, so we cannot guarantee an exact delivery date, and busy periods and public holidays can add time. What we can promise is that we will tell you the truth about where your order is, and help you sort out anything that goes wrong.
3. Carriers
Orders are delivered by established UK carriers.
4. Tracking
As soon as your order is dispatched we will email you a confirmation with tracking details so you can follow it. If you have not received that email within 2 days of ordering, please check your spam folder and then get in touch.
5. Digital items
Where a title is a digital or printable edition, or includes a digital companion, it is sent to you by email and is not posted. Delivery charges do not apply to digital items.
6. Delayed or missing parcels
Occasionally a parcel takes longer than expected. If yours has not arrived when you expected it, email info@theprintedkitchen.co.uk with your order number.
We will investigate with the carrier. If the parcel cannot be found, we will either send a replacement at no cost to you or refund you in full, whichever you prefer. You do not need to wait a set number of days before contacting us. If the expected delivery date has passed, please do.
7. Incorrect or incomplete addresses
Please check your delivery address carefully at checkout. If an order is returned to us because the address was incomplete or incorrect, we will contact you and can resend it, though a further delivery charge may apply. If you spot a mistake, email us straight away and we will do our best to correct it before the order is dispatched.
8. Your right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you may cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving your book. To cancel, email info@theprintedkitchen.co.uk within that period.
You may open the book and look through it, exactly as you would in a bookshop. You arrange and pay the return postage. If the book comes back damaged, or handled beyond what is needed to look at it, we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value. Once we have received the book back, or proof that you have sent it, we will refund you within 14 days, including the basic delivery charge you paid on the original order.
9. Our 30-day guarantee
On top of your legal right to cancel, if the book is simply not for you, return it within 30 days of receiving it and we will refund the price you paid for the book. You arrange and pay the return postage, and the original delivery charge is not refunded under this voluntary guarantee. This is in addition to your statutory rights and never replaces them.
10. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if your book arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund, and you will not pay return costs. Email us with your order number and a photograph of the problem and we will put it right.
11. Contact
For anything to do with your delivery, email info@theprintedkitchen.co.uk or message us on WhatsApp at +44 7476 018777. We reply within 2-3 days Monday to Friday.
